The Letter

It all started with this letter:

October 2010

Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Hannah McMichael. I am 21 years old, from Erie Pennsylvania, a homeschool graduate, hard-core dispensationalist, and lover of many things (I will spare you my long list of interests J). And I’m on a mission.
Since January of 2009, I have had many wonderful opportunities to spend time getting to know fellow homeschool grads from across the country. The camaraderie has been amazing. I have made many friends, and been able to learn and grow so much. It helped me to prove something to myself---that homeschoolers were capable of socialization and can have a marvelous time doing it.
But something still was missing. I soon found that the majority of the people I was gathering with held such different views on the Bible than I did, that I couldn’t have a good, deep doctrinal discussion with hardly any of them. I have gotten terribly frustrated more than once. I kept telling myself, There has to be some people my age out there that are likeminded to me in doctrine! But not until recently did I realize…I was looking in all the wrong places.
Yes, homeschooling has shaped my life like no other education could. Being able to meet with others like me in that respect has changed my life. But my belief about God and the Bible is the most important thing in my life. Nothing pleases me more than being able to talk about and even just be in the same room with people that share my views.
So now I am out to prove something else: that the generation of young people like myself, passionate about the Word of God rightly divided and dispensationally minded, really does exist.
I started thinking of the core generation that has blazed the pathway for rightly dividing. These wonderful people won’t be around forever. So what is next? And where is the generation that they have raised?
I know you all are out there. And I have a feeling that some, if not many of you feel the same way I do.
What I am proposing is a reunion. A chance to come together, learn together, forge friendships, encourage one another, study together, and set each other’s hearts on fire.
My idea is to establish a network by starting a snail-mail newsletter which we all can contribute to, an online blog and forum, and ultimately forming enough interest to put together a retreat/reunion where we can all meet in person. But I’ll need your help.
So to begin, please write to me with your interest and ideas:

This is going to be amazing…God bless!!

                        Sincerely,
                                    Hannah
